MAG Financial Support
MAG Financial Support
Your internship is financially covered with the education voucher that finances your course. If you want to prolong your internship or do a second internship, that would not be financially covered anymore. In this case, you could get a MAG for financial support.
The MAG (Maßnahme beim Arbeitgeber) is an external measure paid by the Federal Employment Agency that allows you to either prolong your unpaid internship or to do another internship that is not part of the course.
It can be authorized by your supervisor at the Federal Employment Agency if the internship is generally promising but bear in mind that it is not always authorized.
The MAG can also help you to catch up on your internship in case you missed it during the course at DCI.

If you immediately find a permanent job after completing the course with us, you can skip the internship. That's when a so-called Eingliederungszuschuss becomes interesting.
The EGZ (Eingliederungszuschuss), or Integration grant in English, describes employment promotion benefits that employers can claim when they hire unemployed people.
The support is granted by the Bundesagentur für Arbeit, which is also the direct contact partner on that matter.

If students do not find an internship or full-time job by the end of the theory phase (concludes with graduation event) they get to be part of the Internship Support Program.
The main goal of the program is to boost your hard and soft skills through an external job coach in order to find an internship or job. More details about the Internship Support Program:
The program is obligatory and requires daily attendance
You can only skip or cancel it if you found an internship or full-time position
